The Pink Floyd Experience

What a fantastic weekend! I was invited to a concert over the weekend in Hilton Head Island and as a ‘just-in-case’, I decided to pack my gear in the hopes that I could try out some concert photos. I introduced myself to the tour manager Brian, asked if it would be okay to take some photos of the band during the show and he was more than accommodating in allowing me to take photos.

The lights, the sound, the energy was more than I had ever expected! So many people will be quick to say – ‘Oh they’re just another cover band’, but they were so much more than that. They played some of the most obscure (and personal favorite) Floyd tunes like Pigs (Three Different Ones), to of course the most recognized songs such as Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall and Learning to Fly.

I tried to capture a little bit of the energy that was pouring out during the concert and hope you enjoy the photos. Since this is my first concert, no flash and hand held camera – I hope you can get a little bit of the feel of the show. Man would I LOVE to do this full time! Anyone know how I can break into concert photography??? I’m all ears!

Oh yeah, Thank You Jonathan for inviting me to a GREAT show!
