St. Mark’s Meetup Shoot

To be such a dark and gloomy day – I don’t think the sun has been out in 3 days here – I managed to swipe a few good shots indoors today.

One of our Meetup members belongs to the St. Marks Episcopal Church in downtown Brunswick and mentioned that we may be able to setup there one morning. She did the legwork and was able to get us in this morning while the altar guild ladies were cleaning. Ever since I used to go to school right down the street from it, I had always wondered what it looked like on the inside.

When I walked in – seriously – it took my breath away. I couldn’t believe we had something this beautiful in our own hometown. Very old world style, dark interior, rich woods, beautiful stone and lights that remind you of an old movie where the lights are really candles. It looked as though I had stepped back 100’s of years in time.

I know there are only so many photos that can capture the inside of a church, so I did a little artistic touch on some of the photos and made them my own. All of this is handheld so if you comment, be gentle. And yes, I know, I LIKE contrast! And I think we can say – I Like Red!
