We will be doing a macro field trip as part of the Coastal Photographer’s Guild coming up in just a couple of weeks. I haven’t had any formal training in macro photography so I thought I better brush up on a few skills. Actually, I had to look up some tutorials on YouTube to re-learn my one class (2 hours worth) of macro photography. Since the photo was taken outside and not under controlled conditions… meaning the wind was blowing, it was difficult to get a good shot without the blur. I think I may have gotten lucky on this one where I caught the breeze at a standstill and captured a pretty detailed shot of the Bromeliad’s blooming outside in the front yard.
I’ll have more in the coming weeks on my macro work so check back. For now, I hope you enjoy the one…
